Your mission

As an AI Engineer at nuwacom, you will play a vital role in transforming intelligent features from concept to reality by integrating AI models into production-ready software solutions. You will collaborate closely with Developers, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to deliver impactful AI-driven functionalities that elevate our platform and deliver meaningful value to enterprise clients.

  • Develop and implement software components with AI-related functionality that meet project requirements
  • Integrate AI models into software applications, designing robust interfaces for seamless model interaction
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to quality assurance throughout AI and software modules
  • Prepare AI models for deployment in collaboration with Data Scientists, ensuring optimal performance in production environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model behavior, system integration, and  performance
  • Collaborate across teams to accurately translate business objectives into technical solutions
  • Test and validate AI components, including thorough unit and integration testing, and ongoing production monitoring
  • Document AI features and software implementations, promoting clarity, transparency, and team collaboration
  • Continuously optimize performance, scalability, and resource efficiency of AI-driven solutions
  • Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing by promoting best practices in AI and software engineering

Your profile

  • Foundational experience in software development, particularly with Python and common frameworks
  • Strong interest in applied AI and real-world model integration, demonstrated through projects, coursework, or independent study
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, vector databases, APIs, and deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge in prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and experience building multi-agent systems is highly desirable
  • Analytical thinking and debugging skills, with a proactive approach to solving technical challenges
  • Collaborative mindset, thriving in interdisciplinary engineering and product environments
  • Structured, quality-focused working style, with attention to documentation and testing
  • Fluency in English—our working language (fluency or conversational German is a plus)
